  1. Envision plan & then create the image
  2. Photography is really about composition & light
  3. Compose the images in thirds follow the rule of thirds as much as possible; divide the frame in 9 equal square boxes. It works 99% of the time
  4. Avoid Camera Shake
  5. Follow the Sunny 16 rule, Shutter speed 1/100, Aperture F/16, IS0 100, Flash not fired
  6. Use a Polarization Filter to reduce reflection
  7. Create a sense of Depth
  8. Use Simple & plain backgrounds
  9. Don’t use flash indoors
  10. Choose the right ISO
  11. Use PAN (Panning) to create motion
  12. Experiment with your shutter speed
  13. Look the subject in the eyes
  14. Use Flash outdoors as well
  15. Move in close to smaller subjects
  16. Move subject away from the middle
  17. Lock the Focus
  18. Use exposure compensation
  19. Use aperture priority mode
  20. Know your flash range to be effective
  21. Watch the other sources of light
  22. Must take some picture vertical
  23. Be creative/innovative with pictures
  24. Avoid using aperture to compensate for poor lighting
  25. Use prime lens for more creativity
  26. Use the light meter for indoor shooting of portraits
  27. Focus on details & action
  28. Bonce the flash for softer image
  29. Using Photo shop is not a cheating
  30. Don’t buy more gears until you hit a wall with the gear you already have
  31. Use reflectors to improve the image quality
  32. Shoot different shots but don’t waste time getting multiple shot of same image
  33. Learn where to focus when using a group photography, focus on the person closest to camera lens
  34. Get the deposit before booking a shoot
  35. You must watch your light diffusers
  36. Learn to change active focus point
  37. Learn how to use the Histogram in photography to avoid over exposure
  38. You must read your camera manual time & again for better understanding of equipment capabilities
  39. Ensure & charge your batteries. Also keep extra Cards for storage of images
  40. You can use window light as important source for lighting, Natural light is the best light
  41. Always shoot in RAW
  42. A noisy picture is better than blurry picture
  43. Photo editing is an art in itself
  44. Be a part of a scene while taking the photo not a voyeur
  45. Focus on compositional aspect rather then technical aspect
  46. Simplicity is the key
  47. Photography is paining with light… use light in your favor
  48. Carry your camera & lens kit, wherever you go
  49. Shoot with confidence & enjoy the photography. Never allow photography to disturb your own enjoyment, have fun
  50. Ask for permission & thank after the photo shoot. Be respectful to people & places.. and a part of environment.
  51. It is always better to underexpose than overexpose the image
  52. Taking stranger pictures in their locals is thrilling & exciting
  53. Photography is not a hobby; it is life style – It is a philosophy of life
  54. Make photos, not excuses
  55. Laughter always draws out People true character in photograph
  56. The best photographs always conveys a story
  57. Travel & photography are the best pair
  58. Don’t be afraid to take photo’s in rains
  59. Go outside & shoot rather than spending hours in photography forums.. Learning will be much faster
  60. You will discover a lot about yourself through photography
