Tips for the Mobile Photography
  1. Be Ready to go for Mobile photography, remember to charge your mobile, carry the Mobile charger, to capture moment make sure to unlock your mobile camera, keep the phone in Airplane mode to save battery & distractions/disturbances
  2. Learn the technical peculiarities of your phone camera/modes
  3. Clean the lens for crystal clear Photos – use soft cloth to clean your mobile lens
  4. Don’t think twice, take shots whenever you want & wherever you wish, you can always delete if you are not satisfied
  5. Look for good light for a great image, use back lit, front lit & side lit method to capture the best
  6. Set the focus to ensure your subject is sharp – follow the yellow box to focus
  7. Make use of additional lenses such as 18mm, 60mm, Macro, Fish Eye as per requirement. These are easily available in market as accessories
  8. Use the power of angles, get the best & unique angle to click shots
  9. Adjust exposure for perfect brightness level, if need be adjust it manually
  10. Know when (not) to use flash, make best use of natural light
  11. Use HDR (High Dynamic Range) for evenly lit photos with amazing details
  12. Shoot in portrait mode to create gorgeous blurred background
  13. Activate burst mode for incredible action slots
  14. While Zooming in with Phone having telephoto lens, no need to get closure to subject. The telephoto lens allow you to capture high quality zoomed in shots. Otherwise it’s recommended not to use the digital Zoom – Zoom in with your feet
  15. Shake hands not your phone. Keep your camera steady for shake free shots. If you have a Phone tripod & Phone tripod mount, you can use them to keep your Phone perfectly still when shooting
  16. Use the rule of third to compose beautiful mobile photos, follow the camera grid. Create a perfect symmetry
  17. Use leading lines for powerful images with incredible depth
  18. Experiment with different perspectives for more unique images, shoot from different perspective
  19. Simplify your compositions for most striking shots. Try to include only one main subject in your photo & ensure the background isn’t too busy or distracting
  20. Use lot of empty space in your picture; in photography we call it negative space. It enhances & draw attention to your subject. Minimalist photo to catch the eye
  21. A selfie is not always best option. Better to take portrait, don’t be afraid to ask some one to click it for you
  22. Make use of Built in Camera application on phones to get the best shots
  23. For editing, use Adobe Lightroom mobile, Snap Seed, VSCO, Pixlr, Mextures, Distressed FX, Matte box etc. or else down load & edit the image on your computer for full control. Learn to edit your pictures
  24. Have patience as patience makes the shots perfect
  25. Shaded areas reduce vertical light; allow softer horizontal light to illuminate your subject
  26. Find art in subtle movements, create your dramatic/epic moments, use mirror in mirror. Practice as much as you can
  27. Experiment with Black & white mode. Focus on forms, structures, textures, surfaces & Light Model things to capture shots
  28. Go for Quality shot & not Quantity shots
  29. Follow the rule to have fun in mobile photography, don’t follow only one style, have variations
  30. Make your pictures come alive, print the picture, send them as postcards, and share with your friends. Create your story board through series of pictures, tell powerful storey to have impact
