  1. Have Confidence before shooting
  2. Make sure to charge battery & have enough Memory Card/ Films to shoot
  3. Travel light
  4. Pick up the right lens for your camera shoot
  5. Make sure to set the camera setting – RAW/JPEG/ISO /Aperture/Exposure/Single or Multiple release/Shutter Speed etc.
  6. Prefer to shoot in RAW so that you can do post processing
  7. Check your white balance/depth of field etc.
  8. Check your lens & filters for any foreign particles such as dust/sand/Moisture
  9. Zoom in & check the distracting elements in your frame, if any
  10. Take more & more pictures to gain your skills
  11. Lock your composition, tripod & rotating head position
  12. Fill the Frame with what you like
  13. Have a concept in mind…
  14. Eliminate Distractions…. Get closure to subject
  15. Simplify & Exaggerate
  16. Don’t always center your object
  17. Create depth in your picture to pull people/object in your picture
  18. Connect the dots, build a story line
  19. Perspective is everything
  20. Light is everything
  21. Bounce the flash
  22. Break the rules for experiment
  23. Get to know your model, if you are going for portraits
  24. Using lens hood is not necessary
  25. Using filter is not worthy… it only protect lens and add no value
  26. Always be ready for your shots
  27. Create your own pictures portfolio/folder
  28. Edit the picture if required…Use Picasa or photo shop
  29. At the end of shoot, celebrate the good images captured by you
  30. Avail every opportunity, never say no to work
  31. Aspire to move up, get into action
  32. Spend 50% of your time to do Business Development & Business calls
  33. Keep shooting, grow with your clients
  34. Join the network/photo club… connect with some one who could be your mentor
  35. Better camera doesn’t make better pictures/photos
  36. If your pictures isn’t good enough …you are not close enough
  37. Don’t drink & shoot…. Do the shoot & drink
  38. The best equipment doesn’t help if you are not standing in the best spot
  39. Shoot when you are full on energy
  40. Photography is as much a reflection of the person taking the photo
  41. Shoot to please no one apart from yourself
  42. Change every once in a while to keep things fresh
  43. Be critical of yourself
  44. Seeing is not enough, you have to feel what you photograph
  45. The relationship is about you & the subject not you and the camera
  46. Show only your best
  47. Changing photo to B&W doesn’t make an uninteresting shot interesting
  48. Look at other people work to get inspired
  49. Post your work online & let people critique your work
  50. There is no easy way to get the best shots/photos
